Morgan Gibbs-White has just reacted after Nottingham Forest secure Premier League survival

Morgan Gibbs-White has reacted after Nottingham Forest secured their Premier League status for another season.

The Reds went to Burnley knowing that they would be safe barring a mathematical swing of miraculous propositions.

Forest were professional to the last though and ended up winning 2-1 at Turf Moor to remove any element of doubt.

Furthermore, Luton were beaten 4-2 at Kenilworth Road on the final day to go down with just 26 points.

Forest do have some work to do in the summer but after today’s game, Gibbs-White has taken to X to take stock of the season.

Morgan Gibbs-White reacts after Nottingham Forest remain in the Premier League

Turf Moor was baked in sunshine this afternoon and it was hard to deny that the Forest faithful were in fine voice.

Much like Selhurst Park on the final day of last season, Forest fans were in party spirits in the North West with Premier League survival the order of the day.

Forest can now look forward to a third successive season in the Premier League, with survival now assured.

Following the game, Gibbs-White took to X to post his thoughts about another season pulling the strings for Forest.

He posted: “What a season! Full of ups and downs but one thing that has remained constant has been your support throughout.

“Can’t thank you all enough for the love and belief you’ve given us. What a city, what a club.”

Forest should forget about sale of star man

With financial fair play still loitering in the background, Forest will almost certainly have to sell one top player.

However, the Reds must do whatever it takes to ensure that it’s not Gibbs-White who exits Forest.

The 24-year-old improved considerably this season, with Gibbs-White scoring six goals and claiming 10 assists.

Selling him may make sense from a financial point of view but the offer would need to be right in the first instance.

The Reds would need to find a replacement and doing that wouldn’t be easy.

Gibbs-White still has so much untapped potential and hopefully, Forest can do whatever it takes to make sure the playmaker remains at the club.
