'I just said': Jack Grealish shares what he said to Pep Guardiola right after Man City won the Premier League

Jack Grealish has revealed what he told Pep Guardiola right after Manchester City beat West Ham 3-1 to win the Premier League.

Jack Grealish was named on the bench as he witnessed the hosts defeat David Moyes’ side comfortably on Sunday.

However, the £100 million man also managed to win the league for the third time in a row.

What Grealish told Guardiola after Man City won the Premier League

After Manchester City became Premier League champions for the fourth time on the trot, Jack Grealish disclosed what he said to Pep Guardiola.

On Sky Sports Main Event during their live coverage, he said: “I just said to him, congratulations and he said, no, you congratulations. I said no, I’ve only won three, you have won four, so congratulations to you! He’s an unbelievable guy.”

“I have had times this season where I have struggled off the pitch and he has been there for me so much. I can only thank him. He is a brilliant manager on the pitch but off the pitch behind closed doors, when I have been in the office, he has helped me.”

Jack Grealish must have been delighted by the Catalan’s response

The 28-year-old has not had his finest of seasons, starting just 10 league games for City this campaign.

But it seems evident that even so, Pep Guardiola has no question marks about Jack Grealish and his importance to the team.

Guardiola seems to understand how important Grealish is to his side.

On a day when Manchester City deserved to celebrate, the Catalan tactician gave the former Aston Villa captain the credit he deserves.

After all, injuries have been a key reason behind Grealish not kicking on as expected from the previous campaign.

In March, Ally McCoist claimed that there was a possibility that Jack Grealish would be omitted from England’s squad for Euro 2024.

Especially due to how well the likes of young wingers like Cole Palmer and Anthony Gordon have played this season.

However, there is no denying that the decorated forward remains one of the Sky Blues’ most crucial attackers.

Jack Grealish must have been delighted to hear Pep Guardiola showcase his support towards him.

Regardless of the opinions from the outside world on Grealish’s displays this season, the belief of his manager is what would matter to him the most.
