'Amazing': Kevin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva make Arsenal and Liverpool comment directly after title win

Both Kevin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva have now made a comment about Arsenal and Liverpool after securing a fourth successive Premier League title for Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola’s side were ultimately able to overcome West Ham United without much danger thanks to Phil Foden’s inspired start.

The England international demonstrated why he deserves every accolade he receives right now, and also why he should be a king-pin of Gareth Southgate’s team at the Euros.

A superb talent, and one who ultimately made the difference for Man City when holding off Arsenal in the final weeks.

That being said, for a lot of the season it was a three-horse race, even if Liverpool were eventually undone by their more porous defence.

Arsenal definitely didn’t fall down in that regard, but perhaps Mikel Arteta’s side are still slightly lacking the know-how of this historic City side.

Of course, the Man City players will recognise Arsenal’s superb effort, and both Kevin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva did exactly that after today’s title-raise.

The pair were speaking during Sky Sports’ coverage, and delivered praise for both their rivals.

Kevin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva admit gap to Arsenal and Liverpool was so small this season

De Bruyne was speaking initially and praised the industry of his league-winning teammates.

He said: “We worked so hard for this. It has been a tough battle with Arsenal and Liverpool this year and to be here again, doing something historic is amazing.”

Silva, who delivered an outstanding display today himself, even admitted that his side had enjoyed a small element of fortune along the way.

He added: “The margins are so small. Liverpool in two seasons we beat them by one point and now Arsenal it’s two points.

“We have been lucky enough to have these small margins and be in front of them. The achievement has been unbelievable. We are so proud and so happy.”

Of course, Liverpool will look very different under Arne Slot next season, and surely would be forgiven for not mounting an immediate title-push.

But having come so close this season, Arteta surely won’t be happy to accept anything but a title win, even if Manchester City are at their formidable best once again.

And with the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva showing no signs of slowing down right now, Arsenal will face exactly that.

All that considered, Jamie Redknapp has predicted what Mikel Areta will do at Arsenal to improve this summer.
