'Next season': Moises Caicedo makes bold Chelsea prediction after wonder goal vs Bournemouth

Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo has been speaking after his incredible strike against Bournemouth.

Chelsea beat Bournemouth 2-1 in their final game of the Premier League season.

Moises Caicedo put the Blues in front with his first goal for the club, and it is one that he will never forget.

The 22-year-old scored from the half-way line after finding Bournemouth keeper Neto out of his goal.

There was a lot of pressure on Caicedo this season. He joined Chelsea from Brighton & Hove Albion last summer in a £115m deal, making him the most expensive signing in the club’s history.

Moises Caicedo buzzing after Bournemouth goal

Understandably, Caicedo is ecstatic after scoring against Bournemouth.

It was his first goal for the club and an exceptional one at that.

It helped Chelsea to secure sixth place, but Caicedo is now backing his side to do even better next season and win trophies.

“It was an amazing goal,” the Ecuadorian was quoted as saying by the Premier League’s official website. “I had the possibility to shoot and I did. I just wanted to try, I didn’t look at my team-mates. I just wanted to shoot.

“It was a good season for us to get Europe. I am so happy to be in this team, we will achieve a lot of trophies in the next season.”

Can Chelsea win silverware next season?

Mauricio Pochettino‘s men came close this term, losing 1-0 to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final.

They lost by the same scoreline to Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-finals.

The Blues managed to reach those stages of those competitions with an injury-hit squad and a team that was underperforming under Pochettino.

However, since then, the Argentine has got most of his players back and found a winning formula, guiding Chelsea to five victories in their last five Premier League fixtures.

With that in mind, then, if everyone stays fit next season, there is a very good chance of Chelsea winning something.
