'A real decision'': Chris Sutton says Brendan Rodgers has a hard choice to make ahead of Celtic's cup final

Now that the league title race is over and Celtic have been crowned champions, the fans will now look ahead to next week’s Scottish Cup final.

The game against Rangers gives Celtic the chance to further compound what has been a miserable end to the season for the Ibrox club.

Celtic dashed Philippe Clement‘s side’s hope of winning the title this season after coming up trumps in three out of four Glasgow Derby’s this season.

And the chance to make this summer miserable for the Rangers manager beckons at Hampden next weekend.

For Rodgers though, he has a really important decision to make ahead of the cup final and Chris Sutton says that even though it’s a tough one, it is also a ‘nice’ dilemma for the Celtic manager to have.

Idah or Kyogo to start for Celtic vs Rangers

The former Celtic hero was speaking about Idah’s performance whilst watching the win over St Mirren yesterday.

And whilst Sutton has been left with impressed the Republic of Ireland international recently, he said that Brendan Rodgers faces a selection headache ahead of the big Hampden clash next week.

Sutton said, [Sky Sports], “That will be the one position for next week’s cup final where Brendan has a real decision to make, I feel.

“He really made his mark [Adam Idah] didn’t he at Kilmarnock? He was absolutely outstanding in that first half.

“He got his goal and the way he led the line he’s a different player to Kyogo and offers a different dimension.

“A nice food for thought for Brendan Rodgers.”

This is a great dilemma for the Celtic manager. Here he has two strikers who are bang-on form and both give him a different option should he require it at Hampden next weekend.

What is also encouraging is that both know how to find the back of the net against our rivals so at least we know that when it comes to the big games, they can both be relied on in high-pressured situations.
