Nottingham Forest have survived relegation for the second successive season after a 2-1 win over Burnley.
The Reds needed just a point to be guaranteed survival. Chris Wood scored twice inside 14 minutes at Turf Moor to set the Reds on their way.
Forest have endured a pretty turbulent campaign in the Premier League having been deducted four points for some financial misdemeanours.
Now, shortly after the game finished earlier today, Nick De Marco who defended Forest during that case lifted the lid on his opinion.

This season threatened to descend into farce when it was claimed earlier in the season that relegation might not be solved before the final day of the season.
It was claimed that if Everton and Forest chose to appeal, things might drag on and ultimately, relegation would be settled in the courtroom.
Thankfully, it hasn’t come to that and Forest have survived at a canter in the end.
De Marco has now shared his feelings on the whole ordeal. Forest will hope they’re not in this situation ever again and can now move on.
He posted on X: “Delighted for NFFC, deserved Premier League survival.
“For professional reasons, I have avoided speaking about the PSR cases I acted in the club in.
“But two things strike me now the season is over.
“First it’s worth recalling the PL originally said the starting points for the club should have been -8 points. The club got this down to 2 by cooperation and another two at the hearing to 4. It could have been much worse had the club not done as it did in the case.
“Second, and most importantly, despite being an indirect beneficiary of the contrary, I always believe it’s far better for relegation and promotion to be determined by performances on the pitch and not legal hearings behind closed doors.
“Well done Nottingham Forest for doing so today.”
Forest have to be more savvy going forward
The Reds got lucky this season that the three teams who were promoted last term were all utterly dreadful.
Next season, that’s unlikely to be the same and Forest have to learn lessons from their financial charges this year.
A more savvy approach to transfers is required and hopefully, Forest can get things right on that front this summer.
De Marco is right that the Premier League had to make sure things weren’t decided in the courtroom.
It would have been a travesty had that been the case and even worse had it taken place after the season had finished.
Now, Forest can consign this season firmly to the history books and the challenge is to make sure they never need De Marco to fight their corner again.
