'Not gonna put your flag up': Trump's fans rebel against ex-president's new endorsements

Donald Trump is thought by some analysts to have the supporter retention of a cult leader, but some of his biggest fans are turning against his latest round of congressional endorsements.

Trump went silent on social media for nearly 24 hours. When he broke that streak on Sunday, it wasn't with an attack on prosecutors or a judge. Instead, it was a familiar set of endorsements, which the ex-president's followers have come to expect every couple of weeks.

"Congressman Buddy Carter is a fantastic Representative for Georgia's 1st Congressional district," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "Buddy is fighting hard to grow our Economy, unleash American Energy, secure the Border, strengthen our Military/Vets, improve Health Care, defend our always under siege Second Amendment, and support the Critical Ports of Savannah and Brunswick."

@SmithR, who often shares far-right propaganda on Trump's social media site, responded that "Buddy Carter is RINO." That is a shortened form of a Republican in Name Only.

Trump also endorsed Austin Scott, who the former president said "is an incredible Representative for the people of Georgia’s 8th Congressional District."

"Austin is fighting hard to uphold the Rule of Law, secure the Border, protect our Brave Military/Vets, defend our always under siege Second Amendment, champion American Energy Independence, and support our Great Farmers," he then said.

Patriot_Peach_Forever, who self-identifies as #MAGA and #TRUMPFOREVER, said Austin should "lose re-election."

"He's not worth your endorsement," the account wrote. "NO ONE I know is voting for him, here."

The account went on to beg Trump to "withdraw" the endorsement.

"He's never accomplished anything," he wrote on Sunday. "My son just told me he's not gonna put your flag up he got today because you endorsed this loser this evening."

MAGA47 chimed in, "You're the only person I am ever voting for sir again! F--- all politicians!"

Trump also endorsed Marjorie Taylor Greene, who he said "is a fantastic Representative for the people of Georgia’s 14th Congressional District."

John Zetty, who has claimed on Truth Social that Biden is the one prosecuting Trump in New York, said, "She needs to go away. Just another do nothing but stir the s--- pot loudmouth."

Pro-Trump Dan Tavanese said, "Well she doesn't get my endorsement."

"Hopefully she'll see the light, but I'm not holding my breath," he added on Sunday.

Another MAGA account, @richardcpousn, chimed in, "She hasn't done anything."

Trump also endorsed James Comer, causing one "Ultra MAGA patriot" to say, "He's had nearly 3.5 years now to bring charges against Joey and Crack Head Hunter and we haven't seen squat."

"Just how great is he, or is he dragging his feet to appease the Uniparty?" the user asked.
