Lisandro Martinez sends message to Manchester United fans after win v Brighton

Lisandro Martinez is feeling upbeat after returning to end Manchester United’s Premier League season on a high.

It has been claimed Manchester United’s dressing room is a quieter place without Lisandro Martinez.

Perhaps that’s partly because without Lisandro Martinez, Manchester United struggle to win.

After he suffered his recent injury after a substitute appearance against Brentford, United managed to win one of only eight matches, not counting a penalty shootout victory.

Now, with Martinez back in the squad for the last two games, Manchester United have won them both, beating Newcastle and then Brighton.

Lisandro Martinez has a message for fans

There appeared to be good spirits among Manchester United’s squad at the final whistle against Brighton.

Despite the abject finishing position in the Premier League, eighth place, United’s dressing room has not fallen apart.

Instead they have been bound together by a single goal in recent weeks, focusing ahead on theFA Cup Final, the last chance to win silverware this season.

Martinez has returned from injury just in time, and has a message for supporters.

He wrote on Instagram: “See you in London, Red Devils! All together now for the final. Thanks to our amazing fans for their constant support.”

Team spirit needed as United turn attention towards City

Manchester United will enter next week’s game against City as underdogs. Everybody will be writing them off.

The players need to block out all this noise, and focus on 90 minutes, a chance for redemption, and a bit of revenge thrown in.

The pain of this miserable injury-hit season can be wiped away with a cup final win, and to do it against City would be especially sweet.

With players like Martinez back, who will give everything for the cause, Manchester United have a better chance.

The Argentine missed last year’s final through injury, and he will be desperate to have his say on the big stage this time, and win his second ever game at Wembley, after the Carabao Cup final, having also missed this year’s and last’s FA Cup semi-finals.
