Brisk voting during Lok Sabha polls in Baramulla

In the ongoing Lok Sabha Elections 2024, more than 21.30 percent of the 17.37 lakh electorate in the Baramulla Lok Sabha constituency exercised their franchise within the first four hours of polling on Monday, according to officials.

Polling has been smooth across the Baramulla constituency, which comprises 18 assembly segments and spans four districts: Baramulla, Bandipora, Kupwara, and Budgam. Key candidates in the fray include National Conference vice president Omar Abdullah, People’s Conference president Sajad Gani Lone, and jailed head of Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) Sheikh Abdul Rashid, also known as Engineer Rashid.
