Jordan Henderson sends wordless reaction after Virgil van Dijk’s post about Jurgen Klopp leaving Liverpool

Liverpool’s new era is here after Jurgen Klopp left Anfield yesterday and the players are all rallying around each other it seems.

Klopp was a delighted onlooker as his Liverpool team put Wolves to the sword and ensured he finished on a deserving high as he walked out of Anfield for the final time.

The German’s legacy is going to be a hard one for Arne Slot to follow and even Trent Alexander-Arnold admitted the farewell had left him feeling more than a touch emotional.

Indeed, since the final whistle yesterday, players have sent their messages of thanks to Klopp through social media.

One of those players, Virgil van Dijk, took to his Instagram account earlier to post a heartfelt message to Kopp.

And going straight into the replies, former skipper Jordan Henderson took the time out to show Van Dijk and Klopp a bit of love as well.

Henderson, who relinquished the captaincy to move to Saudi Arabia, allowing Van Dijk to step into the fold, clearly still has a big connection to the club.

And the England man straight onto the post with a wordless reaction to what Van Dijk had posted.

Henderson back to Anfield one day?

It’s pretty safe to say that Jordan Henderson’s move to Saudi didn’t go to plan and the fact he was back in Europe with Ajax less than six months later tells the story.

Of course, we all have an affinity towards the former skipper and it’s obvious he also has a lot of love for the club and his former teammates.

Will we see Henderson back in Liverpool one day? Well, that’s a big question and one that remains unanswered.

But given the constant interaction he has with players and the club on social media, if he’s ever offered any sort of role at the club, you can bet he’ll take it.
