Exciting Lopetegui and Steidten transfer talks claim is just what the West Ham fans want to hear

A huge summer transfer window lies ahead of incoming new West Ham United manager Julen Lopetegui, director of football Tim Steidten and sporting director Mark Noble.

Julen Lopetegui, Tim Steidten and Mark Noble all have really important jobs to do at West Ham this summer, with a mass player exodus expected at the London Stadium.

David Moyes has worked wonders at West Ham in fairness to him, but it must be said that he has left the squad in a pretty poor state.

If Lucas Paqueta leaves the club this summer, as is expected, we will have just six first-team players under the age of 29!

With the Euros taking place in around three week’s time, it will be vital for the Hammers to have a transfer plan in place, before all of the players head off to join up with their respective nations.

Lopetegui reportedly plans to bring in at least six new faces this summer, but I’d argue that he should be looking for a bare minimum of eight new additions.

And the latest news to emerge from Spain about Lopetegui and his West Ham lieutenants really is incredibly exciting to hear…

Exciting Julen Lopetegui and Tim Steidten transfer talks claim

A claim has been made out in Spain that is extremely reassuring to hear.

Lopetegui is quite clearly getting ahead of the game, in spite of the fact that he hasn’t even officially be named as the new Hammers boss just yet.

According to Spanish outlet Sport, the 57-year-old is holding constant meetings with Steidten and Noble about transfer targets for the upcoming summer transfer window.

What a massive contrast that is to the way in which Moyes worked.

He didn’t get his ‘dithering Dave’ nickname for nothing.

The Scot has forged a notorious reputation for himself in the game for being incapable of making his mind up quickly when it comes to transfers.

That has seen us miss out on numerous players in the past who would have really helped us – Viktor Gyokeres is one name who springs to mind immediately!

This summer will hopefully be different. With such a big overhaul needed at the London Stadium, West Ham had better be getting their transfer ducks in a row already.

And it seems like that’s exactly what Julen Lopetegui, Tim Steidten and Mark Noble are doing. Great news.
