Police Officer Shot in Washington, D.C., 2 Persons of Interest Detained

Two persons of interest were arrested Monday in connection with the shooting of a Washington, D.C., police officer.

The officer, whose identity has not been released, suffered from non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Metropolitan Police Department. It's unclear what led to the shooting.

The victim who was shot in the area of 7th and Oglethorpe NW drove their vehicle to the 4th District Station for help.

The persons of interest were taken into custody in Prince George's County, Maryland.
