Three is the magic number as De Lucy House Care Home in Diss collects trio of awards

A care home has won a trio of national awards after being nominated by its residents and their family members.

De Lucy House won the Home of the Year category at the Greensleeves Care Awards, as well as the Sustainability and Innovation award.

Home manager Lauren Tubby made it a clean sweep by claimed the Manager of the Year title for a second year in a row, making it a memorable occasion for the Victoria Road home.

Ms Tubby said: “I am still celebrating winning these awards a year ago, so to receive them again is a true surprise and honour.

“I am endlessly proud of all that this home – its staff, residents, families, and volunteers – stands for, and I see all of our successes as a collaborative effort.

“Anyone who works in care will say that they don’t do it for the recognition – and that is absolutely true – but I hope that my team can feel incredibly proud to have been acknowledged in this way.”

During the virtual awards ceremony, which took place last month, one of the home’s care assistants, Ben Moon, was also nominated in the Care Professional of the Year category.
