The United States may announce a new military aid package for Ukraine by the end of this week, according Politico.

According to the report, the Biden administration plans to return to the previous schedule, wherein the reduction of American ammunition and equipment stocks for Ukraine was announced approximately every two weeks.

Meanwhile, two American officials informed Politico that the new military aid package could be unveiled later this week.

"That was generally the cadence of packages for much of last year before the money ran out, and before Congress finally passed the $60 billion Ukraine aid package last month," the article says.

US aid to Ukraine

The United States is providing Ukraine with multifaceted assistance in response to the Russian invasion. Washington has given Ukraine billions of dollars in military aid, including weapons, ammunition, missiles, and military equipment.

On May 20, 2024, during a UN Security Council meeting, US Permanent Representative Robert Wood said that the US will continue to provide military aid to Ukraine until Russia withdraws its troops from Ukrainian territory.

Meanwhile, White House National Security Council Coordinator John Kirby emphasized that the United States is working around the clock to supply weapons to Ukraine to help it defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Last week, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, during his visit to Kyiv, announced a new $2 billion aid package for Ukraine, which includes a significant amount of weaponry.
