Prince Harry set to miss upcoming royal wedding as William given prominent role: 'Doesn't want to make a fuss'

Prince Harry is set to miss out on the wedding of his childhood friend and Godfather to son Prince Archie through fear of "making a fuss", it has been claimed.

Hugh Grosvenor, Duke of Westminster, is set to marry partner Olivia Henson on June 7, with Prince William reportedly taking on the role of usher at the ceremony.

However, his brother the Duke of Sussex will not be in attendance, amid ongoing tensions between him and the Royal Family.

Speaking to GB News, Royal Biographer Angela Levin says Harry "does not wish to disturb everybody" by attending the wedding.

Detailing the upcoming nuptials, Levin revealed that the Grosvenor family and the Royal Family had been "very close", with King Charles having known them "since they were at Cambridge".

Levin also revealed that Hugh Grosvenor is the Godfather to both Harry's son Prince Archie and Prince William's son George.

Discussing the relationship between the Princes and the Grosvenors, Levin told GB News: "He is Archie's Godfather and he is also Prince George's Godfather. So the children were very close.

"When Diana died, they helped them and went out with them, and they were very kind to them."

Reacting to Prince Harry's absence from the ceremony, Levin suggested that they may have felt "awkward" having Harry attend alongside the Royal Family.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

Levin explained: "Who isn't going to go is Harry because he says he doesn't want to make a fuss there and disturb everybody. But I don't think he's had an invitation.

"They realised it would be very awkward for the royals to have him here, either for their own reasons or Harry said they don't want to come, but I think it's the former."

The royal biographer also revealed that the Grosvenor family and the Royal Family have not always seen eye to eye, following controversy ahead of the wedding of Lady Tamara Grosvenor and Edward Van Cutsem in 2004.

She explained: "With the wedding of their daughter in 2004, they wouldn't let Camilla sit next to Charles because she wasn't married to him.

"The Queen and the King were coming, the Duke of Edinburgh was coming, and they said that she had to come differently."

Discussing the fallout of the request, Levin told GB News that the King and Queen were "very upset" at the time, and in the end "did not attend" the wedding.

Levin explained: "She had to sit behind them. William told his father, you have to sit behind me, and you can't come out in the same car, and all that sort of stuff.

"And they were very upset about it. So they didn't go and they didn't speak to the family for many years."
