‘They say’: Journalist shares what his sources are now saying about Mohammed Kudus’ release clause

Mohammed Kudus has just had an incredible debut season at West Ham.

The Ghanaian has been on fire this term, and, as you may imagine, some are already worried that the attacker could leave the Hammers this summer.

Kudus is certainly good enough to make the move to a top club, but whether or not he’ll move this summer remains to be seen.

Speaking on the Ranks FC Ultras Podcast, Dean Jones has been discussing Kudus’ future and he’s shared what he’s heard about a potential release clause at West Ham.

Mohammed Kudus release clause information

Jones says that it’s likely Kudus will stay, but, he has heard that there might be a release clause in the player’s deal, although, it may not be active this summer.

“Yeah I think it’s reasonably likely (that he will stay). I don’t know where he’d end up to be honest. I don’t think there’s anybody who’s going to pay for him,” Jones said.

“If there is a release clause I don’t think it kicks in yet. From people I speak to they say there might be a release clause in there similar to Paqueta, but the hunch is that it’s not there right now and if it is it will be active for a very short period.”

Mohammed Kudus could go next year

It sounds as though Kudus may have a release clause that comes into affect next summer, and if that is the case, expect many top clubs to come in for the West Ham star.

Kudus has shown now that he’s more than good enough to play for one of Europe’s top clubs this season, and if he is on the market next summer, he will have no shortage of suitors.

Luckily, it sounds as though Kudus could stay at West Ham this season, but, next term, it could be a different story.
