‘Definitely’: Ian Wright says he could absolutely see £60m striker at Arsenal next season

Arsenal will likely be in the market for a new striker this summer.

The Gunners have been linked with a new centre-forward for some time now, and with the transfer window opening in just a few weeks’ time, there’s bound to be some movement on this front.

Arsenal have been linked with almost every striker under the sun as of late, and some rumours are very exciting to say the least.

Speaking on the Kelly and Wrighty Show, Ian Wright has been discussing the idea of Alexander Isak joining Arsenal, and he says that the Newcastle striker could be perfect for Arsenal and that he could definitely see the Gunners going for Isak.

Ian Wright can see Arsenal going for Alexander Isak

Wright spoke about the £60m striker and a potential move to Arsenal.

“I think they would definitely look at someone who fits into a technically organised side who can stretch. There’s a lot of talk about what’s going on with Isak and Guimaraes at Newcastle,” Wright said.

“You look at Arsenal and you can probably see someone like him at Arsenal, the way he plays and the way he links, but we need somebody who’s going to take that half chance.”

Isak could be the final piece of the Arsenal puzzle

Wright says he could see Isak at Arsenal next season, and if the Gunners can pull this deal off, they could well be title favourites.

Arsenal feel just short this season, and if they can add a genuinely world-class striker to their ranks, they should be able to take that next step.

Of course, signing someone like Isak is much easier said than done, but after landing the likes of Declan Rice last summer, it’s fair to say that Arsenal shouldn’t be written off in any sort of transfer battle this summer.
