Journalist told one man at Man City could leave in 2025

Dean Jones claimed that he has been told that Pep Guardiola will leave Manchester City at the end of next season.

On the Ranks FC podcast, he disclosed: “We probably have only got one year left of it. The way Pep [Guardiola] was talking yesterday. The fact that people I speak to generally believe that Pep will leave after next season.”

Pep Guardiola recently confirmed that he intends to stay at Manchester City next season.

After winning his sixth league title at the Etihad Stadium, Guardiola admitted [via HaytersTV] that he is “closer to leaving than staying” after his contract expires in 2025.

Simon Jordan recently claimed that once the Catalan leaves City, the Premier League will become far more competitive at the top.

Pep Guardiola might be more motivated to win than ever next season

If the £378,846-a-week man does intend to leave City next season, his motivation to win will be sky-high.

Both domestically and in Europe.

Much like Sir Alex Ferguson won the Premier League in his final campaign at Manchester United, Pep Guardiola would be intending to do the same at Manchester City.

If Guardiola could win the Champions League simultaneously in the following season off the back of winning four league titles in a row, he might cement his status as the best manager in the division’s history.

However, only time will tell whether Guardiola is indeed keen on leaving or if his desire to continue solidifying his status as a Manchester City great.
