N.J. woman hospitalized following late-night shooting, cops say

A woman is hospitalized following a shooting late Monday night in Salem County.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired on the 200 block of Wesley Street in Salem City around 11:15 p.m. and located a 23-year-old victim, according to Salem Police.

She was taken to Cooper University Hospital, Camden, but information on her status was not provided by police on Tuesday.

Police have no description of a suspect and no motive for the shooting was disclosed.
