The Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday’s lottery drawing has increased to an estimated $421 million with a cash option of $196.4 million.
The drawing will be held at 10:59 p.m. and televised on WABC-7 in New York City and Fox 29 in Philadelphia. NJ.com will publish the winning numbers immediately following the drawing.
No one across the county hit Friday’s $393 million jackpot. A second-prize, $1 million ticket was sold in Michigan.
Friday’s winning numbers were: 8, 17, 40, 60 and 70. The Mega Ball drawn was 3 with a Megaplier of 2x.
The jackpot has been growing since someone who bought a ticket at ShopRite in Neptune Township won the massive $1.13 billion prize on March 26. It’s the biggest prize ever won in New Jersey and the eighth largest in U.S. lottery history.
Theodds of a $2 ticket winning the Mega Millions jackpot by matching five numbers and the Mega Ball are 302,575,350 to 1.
Players have a 1 in 12,607,306 chance of a ticket matching five numbers but not the Mega Ball and winning at least $1 million. The odds of matching four numbers plus the Mega Ball for a prize valued of at least $10,000 are 931,001 to 1.
Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot is worth an estimated $100 million with a cash option of $47 million.
