Alexis Sanchez sends two-word message Arsenal fans will love after title heartbreak

Alexis Sanchez has sent a message to Arsenal after their Premier League title heartbreak on Sunday against Everton.

The Gunners fell just short of winning their first English championship on the final day of the season with Manchester City once again claiming all three points to secure the Premier League title, their fourth in succession.

With Arsenal winning 16 league games out of a possible 18 in 2024, the north London side pushed themselves to the limit to go toe-to-toe with City for the title, an effort that still saw the Gunners miss out on the grand prize.

And Emirates Stadium icon Sanchez has now sent a message to his former club.

Taking to his official Instagram account, Sanchez posted a story with the caption: “Always Gunners” alongside a video of the post-match scenes at Arsenal on Sunday evening.

With the Chilean superstar winning his second Serie A title this season with Inter Milan, Sanchez’s message would have been greatly appreciated by Arsenal fans, where the veteran forward holds a special place with supporters.

Arsenal need to win the title next year to honour those who came before

It’s been 20 years since Arsenal last won the Premier League title, a lifetime in football terms that has seen legends come and go from the Emirates Stadium, such as Sanchez.

And heading into next season, the Gunners will want to win the title to honour those who came before the current squad, with Mikel Arteta desperate to bring the Premier League back to north London.

With former players still supporting Arsenal from afar, the likes of Sanchez would love nothing more than to see the Gunners reclaim their spot on the top of the English throne, and next season could see just that.
