Russia strikes Chuhuiv in Kharkiv region: Kindergarten damaged, casualties reported

On Wednesday, May 22, Russian troops shelled the center of Chuhuiv, Kharkiv region. The building of a kindergarten was damaged, and there is an injured person, according to Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

"The Russian occupiers attacked the central part of Chuhuiv," he says.

According to preliminary data, there was information about a woman who was injured.

"A kindergarten was damaged. The inspection is ongoing," states Syniehubov.

Number of casualties increased

Later, as Sinegubov clarified, the number of victims increased to 5 people.

"A total of 5 people were injured. Four injured people were taken to medical institutions," says the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

Russian shelling of Chuhuiv

Russian troops are constantly shelling the city of Chuhuiv in the Kharkiv region. In mid-January, a woman was killed in an attack on Chuhuiv.

Russia also shelled Chuhuiv on the night of March 8. The Russian occupiers attacked the city's water supply system. Seven people were injured, including a 3-year-old child.
