Apprentice star 'does deal' with Arsenal to bring Rice back to West Ham

A star of TV show The Apprentice says he has ‘done a deal’ with Arsenal to bring Declan Rice back to West Ham.

Declan Rice upset many West Ham fans when he decided to join Arsenal in a £105m deal last summer.

Hammers supporters had known for some time prior to the move that Rice would be leaving in that window.

But they were angered by their captain’s decision to snub Man City for a London rival.

To rub salt in the wound, Rice said he left West Ham for Arsenal to compete for and win the biggest trophies around.

West Ham supporters have been mercilessly goaded by some of their Arsenal counterparts about luring their captain away ever since.

Rice has been an absolute revelation with the Gunners.

He helped Mikel Arteta’s side go close to winning the Premier League title by continuing the form which saw him signed for £105m in the first place.

The price was Rice

The vast majority of West Ham fans still hold Rice in high regard. And he has said on several occasions he will always love the Hammers and their fans.

Who knows, maybe one day if and when he leaves Arsenal, Rice might return to West Ham.

If one famous West Ham fan has his way that will happen sooner than you might expect!

Thomas Skinner has become a well known face after starring in TV’s The Apprentice a few years ago.

He appeared on the show, where Sir Alan Sugar is supported by none other than West Ham vice-chairman Karren Brady.

The big West Ham fan is famous for his ‘Bosh’ catchphrase and slap up roast dinners for breakfast at Dino’s Cafe.

Skinner is also known to be a top wheeler dealer in the business world.

Now he has quipped about his biggest deal yet.

Apprentice star ‘does deal’ to bring Rice back to West Ham

Because The Apprentice star says he’s ‘done a deal’ with Arsenal to bring Rice back to West Ham.

Skinner has been at Arsenal’s Emirates stadium today.

And while there he posed for a picture doing the crossed Hammers celebration as he joked about his Rice deal on X.

“Working at Arsenal today,” Skinner said.

“Done a deal, I’m bringing back Declan Rice in the Bosh Cab.

“I had to swap 15 mattresses and free breakfasts down Dino’s Cafe for a month. But got the deal over the line.

“First time at this stadium when it’s empty and I gotta say, it is good! COYI. Bosh.”

The chance would be a fine thing.

The true cost of buying Rice out of his Arsenal contract at this stage would be in excess of £200m.

Hammers spent Rice cash expertly

That would Bosh even the bank accounts of even the biggest and richest clubs on the planet.

In terms of wheeling and dealing like Skinner, West Ham did not do too badly with the Rice money did they?

The Hammers spent the £105m from Arsenal expertly well, bringing in Mohammed Kudus for £38m, Edson Alvarez for £34m and Konstantinos Mavropanos for £17.5m.

Kudus is already said to be attracting plenty of interest from Europe’s elite.

But West Ham are said to be uninterested in selling for any less than £100m before his £85m release clause kicks in next summer.

Skinner was asked to name a Fry-up West Ham five-a-side team with Rice making it in. But who else was in the mix, find out in the video below.
