'I love it': Josko Gvardiol, Phil Foden and others adore what Man City have done at their training ground

Manchester City became Premier League champions once again on Sunday – and some of the players were left amazed by something the club have done at the training ground.

Manchester City made history last weekend by becoming the first team ever to win four Premier League titles in a row.

City beat West Ham United 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium to stave off the challenge from Arsenal, who beat Everton at the Emirates Stadium.

Phil Foden was the star of the show once again with two more goals, and Rodri also got on the scoresheet in the second-half.

It was a comfortable afternoon in the end, despite a goal from Mohammed Kudus to make it 2-1 just before half-time.

The players celebrated the historic feat by partying into the early hours of Money morning, and obviously, they were afforded a couple of days off by Pep Guardiola.

But they returned to the training ground on Wednesday, and some stars have been recorded reacting to something brilliant…

So, the players are now back in training ahead off this weekend’s huge FA Cup final with Manchester United.

Guardiola will be putting them through their paces now, and full focus will be on the game.

City will be very keen to do the Double, which would be an incredible feat after completing the Treble last season – and to beat United at Wembley again would be hugely satisfying.

The City players were back at the CFA training complex on Wednesday, and the club caught the reactions of some first-team players to something brilliant they have done while they were away for a few days.

Previously, City have the message ‘No team has ever won four consecutive Premier League titles… yet’.

Since the latest title win on Sunday, the message has received a little makeover. The ‘yet’ has now had a line sprayed though it, with the words ‘until now!’ emblazoned above.

Some players were filmed looking at the updated message:

Rico Lewis: “That’s nice, who did this?!

John Stones: “Get on that! Top.”

Josko Gvardiol: Ohhhh I love it. I love it!”

Rodri: “Top, top!”

Phil Foden: “I love that, I’m having it.”

Manuel Akanji: “Top!”

A nice touch

This is a fantastic idea that many of the players clearly appreciate.

The initial message was a really good idea and motivational tool, and now it has been updated to reflect the club’s amazing achievement of winning four titles in a row.

The players deserve a huge amount of credit.

It cannot have been easy to find the motivation again after winning the Treble. City have arguably not been at their very best in 2023/24, but the mentality that was shown in the final third of the season was remarkable.
