Appeal after man in 50s stabbed in ‘shocking assault’ in Cambridge

A man in his 50s suffered serious injuries in a stabbing near Cambridge railway station.

The victim was attacked in Station Square near to Sainsbury’s and Pret a Manger at about 12.15am on Thursday, 16 May.

The suspect cycled off on a white bike towards Devonshire Road.

He was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital suffering from serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as a male and wearing a dark hooded top with white lines down the shoulders and arms.

He was also wearing black trousers with a white patch on the hips and had black shoes on.

The suspect cycled off on a white bike towards Devonshire Road.

Det Con Andy Watters said: “This was a shocking assault and I am appealing for people to come forward with information.

“It took place in a busy area, outside Cambridge railway station, and we know there were taxis in the area and people walking past.
