Report: Leeds are expected to make their move for £15m player if they win on Sunday

Leeds United have one of the biggest games in their recent history on Sunday.

Indeed, a Championship play-off final against Southampton at Wembley beckons, and the chance to return to the Premier League at the first time of asking is on offer.

Leeds will be desperate to win this game and receive the huge financial windfall that comes with promotion.

Of course, if Leeds do go up, there’ll be a summer of spending to come, and according to Football London, one of the first signings Leeds could make is Joe Rodon.

Leeds to make Joe Rodon move with a win on Sunday

According to this report, Rodon will be leaving Tottenham this summer, and Leeds will be looking to make a move for the Welshman, particularly if they win at the weekend.

Rodon has been vitally important to Leeds this season with some rock-solid performances at the back, and Daniel Farke will likely want that level of continuity in the Premier League.

Momentum and consistency are both so important for any team after promotion, and Leeds know exactly what they’ll be getting from Rodon.

Joe Rodon can be key

A number of Leeds’ players will likely lose their spot in the starting XI next season if they are promoted as the Yorkshire club look to build forwards.

However, Rodon is a player that looks good enough to make the step up to the Premier League.

The Wales international has previously done the business in Ligue 1, and there’ a reason Tottenham did a deal worth up to £15m to sign him from Swansea back in 2020.

A club like Tottenham don’t go for you unless you have something about you, and while Rodon may not have made it at Spurs, he’s surely more than good enough to play a role in the Premier League for Leeds after promotion.

This could be Leeds’ first signing of the summer.
