"Gonna miss my boy": Tyrick Mitchell now sends message to departing Crystal Palace player

Tyrick Mitchell has now sent a message to one Crystal Palace teammate heading for the Selhurst Park exit door.

Togetherness and squad morale at Crystal Palace is very high right now after a superb end to the 2023/24 campaign, with Jean-Philippe Mateta’s decision to back Ebere Eze for England just one example of how united the players appear to be.

To further reinforce that sentiment, Crystal Palace No.3 Tyrick Mitchell has now sent a heartfelt message to one teammate who is set to leave…

Tyrick Mitchell sends message to Jairo Riedewald

The England international has now paid his respects to Jairo Riedewald.

Crystal Palace have already announced the Dutchman’s exit, although he is still technically an Eagle until his contract expires on June 30th.

Clearly, Mitchell and Riedewald struck up a strong bond, as the Crystal Palace academy graduate wrote “gonna miss my boy Jagga ❤️🥲” on his temporary Instagram story.

The Netherlands international shared a pitch with the Londoner on 40 occasions during his time at Crystal Palace.

Riedewald and Mitchell averaged 1.38 points per game alongside each other, while also helping us reach the FA Cup semi-final in 2022.

Crystal Palace already moving on

Riedewald earned £55,000-a-week during his time at Crystal Palace, and Dougie Freedman is already looking to put the Dutchman’s salary to use elsewhere.

The Glaswegian – who has now rejected Newcastle in favour of staying at Selhurst Park – is eyeing a free transfer swoop to sign Lazio No.6 Daichi Kamada, a player who Oliver Glasner knows well from his time at Eintracht Frankfurt.

A story by Il Messaggero claims that the Japan international has been offered a contract worth around £58,000-a-week, which is pretty much what Riedewald was earning at Crystal Palace.

Therefore, we seem to have wasted no time in looking to put this extra space on the wage bill to good use.
