Celtic Predicted XI vs Rangers with Brendan Rodgers ready to make 5 changes for Scottish Cup Final

Celtic have the chance to cap their season off in style against Rangers on Saturday in a massive Scottish Cup Final at Hampden.

Having come through the Scottish Premiership campaign victorious, the Bhoys can now secure a famous silverware double and ensure they finish the season unbeaten in matches against the Ibrox side.

Despite recent derby dominance, the Hampden clash will be far from easy. Brendan Rodgers has already spoken about the need to treat this game on its own terms – there is no room for complacency.

Fortunately, there were no injuries to report from the Celtic camp in the build-up to this one with the manager giving his squad a clean bill of health.

The champions are in peak condition and Rodgers can pick his strongest available eleven after rotating the team for last week’s trophy day against St Mirren.

Potential Celtic team vs Rangers

It’ll be an emotional day for Joe Hart who will play the final professional match of his entire career.

In defence, Alistair Johnston, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Liam Scales are all strong bets to come back into the eleven in place of Anthony Ralston, Maik Nawrocki and Stephen Welsh.

The latter three were given minutes last weekend but Rodgers will return to the settled back-four that he’s trusted for the majority of the season with Greg Taylor featuring at left-back, too.

In attack, too, we’re expecting to see changes after Nicolas Kuhn and Luis Palma started vs the Buddies. Hampden looks like a prime occasion for both Daizen Maeda and James Forrest to shine.

Maeda can be the buzz-bomb winger that keeps James Tavernier occupied on Celtic’s left flank, while Forrest simply loves the big games and can do a job on the opposite side.

Supported by a midfield three of Callum McGregor, Matt O’Riley and Reo Hatate, Rangers will hopefully struggle with the intensity and quality Celtic have to offer.

With Kyogo Furuhashi’s elite movement through the middle, Celtic have the proven firepower to cause the Rangers defence serious problems throughout. Adam Idah will be available from the bench to switch things up if needed in the second half.

Your Predicted XI in full is: Hart, Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Scales, Taylor, McGregor, O’Riley, Hatate, Forrest, Maeda, Kyogo.
