Fabrizio Romano shares £50m player he knows Tottenham definitely want to sign this summer

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now shared one player that he knows Tottenham Hotspur are interested in this summer.

A busy summer awaits Ange Postecoglou who is set to oversee a number of departures at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham have secured Europa League football for next season which will require a squad filled with quality to allow Postecoglou to rotate his side reguarly.

Players like Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Emerson Royal and Bryan Gil are expected to be moved on over the coming months.

A list of 15 players is believed to have been put together at Hotspur Way with players who the club are willing to sell this summer.

Departures may be crucial to Tottenham bringing in new signings and Romano has now claimed there is one player who is definitely of interest to those at Spurs.

Tottenham have eyes set on £50m midfielder summer signing

Midfield is an area which has caused Postecoglou issues all season with the Australian constantly changing the three players in the middle.

Yves Bissouma‘s early form quickly tailed off and the likes of Pape Matar Sarr and Rodrigo Bentancur have also had their issues in nailing down their form.

With Hojbjerg also set to depart over the coming weeks, Postecoglou will be hoping to see midfield additions brought in to the club.

One player who has been heavily linked with a potential move to N17 is the Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher.

Speaking on the JD Football YouTube channel, Romano has insisted the 24-year-old is a player who Tottenham are definitely keen to bring in this summer.

“I’m a big fan of Conor Gallagher. I think he’s one of the most underrated players around,” Romano added.

The Chelsea midfielder is still no closer to putting pen to paper on a new deal at Stamford Bridge and The Spurs News understands a move to Spurs would tick boxes if he moves this summer.

Mauricio Pochettino’s exit could provide Tottenham Conor Gallagher hope

Earlier this week, former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino left his role at Chelsea after just one year.

The Argentine was a huge fan of Gallagher and will likely have been one of the leading voices in attempting to get the club to offer the midfielder a new deal.

“I think he is a player with a great commitment to the team,” Pochettino told BBC Sport back in February.

“He is always trying to compensate in every situation, in offensive and defensive situations. It’s priceless to have a player like him.”

Whether Pochettino’s exit may have an effect on what lies ahead for the £50m-rated midfielder is yet to be seen.

But as it stands, Gallagher’s future at Chelsea is looking bleak with the club still yet to even offer him a new contract as the summer transfer window is now just weeks away from opening.
