‘Likely’: Arsenal’s ‘special’ player is probably going to leave now - journalist

There are going to be a number of departures from Arsenal this summer.

The Gunners are set to sell or release a number of players with the likes of Mohamed Elneny and Cedric Soares set to be released and Albert Sambi Lokonga set to be sold.

Speaking on Inside Arsenal, Charles Watts has been discussing another potential departure at Arsenal, claiming that from conversations he’s had, he’s led to believe that Emile Smith Rowe is set to leave the club this summer.

Emile Smith Rowe set to leave

Watts shared what he’s been hearing about the ‘special’ Arsenal player.

“We’re talking about Emile Smith Rowe potentially leaving. As much as I don’t want Emile to go I still think the most likely outcome is that he does go, from conversations I’ve had, from the lack of gametime he’s had, if he’s not getting those opportunities it feels like the most likely option for both parties that he is going to go,” Watts said.

Smith Rowe departure a shame

This is such a shame.

At one point, alongside Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe looked as though he was going to be the future of Arsenal.

However, due to a litany of injuries and a loss of form, Smith Rowe has fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal, and it looks as though his time at the Emirates is now over.

Smith Rowe remains a very talented player, and whoever signs him this summer will be getting a brilliant player, and hopefully he can fulfil his potential elsewhere.

Smith Rowe is an England international for a reason, and if he can rediscover his best form Arsenal may end up living to regret selling the midfielder.

Where Smith Rowe goes remains to be seen, but, by the sounds of it, he won’t be an Arsenal player for much longer.
