'He's got to go'..'I'm done'..'Liability'...Rangers fans fume as Philippe Clement drops Celtic injury news

Philippe Clement has grown angrier and angrier throughout the season at having to deal with so many of his Rangers players injured.

When asked if he had any regrets since taking charge, not implementing changes to rectify this sooner is the one thing that the manager highlighted.

Going into the Scottish Cup final, Philippe Clement will again have to shuffle his pack with Rangers fans far from happy with one eggshell in particular.

Rangers fans fuming as Ridvan Yilmaz pulls up again

When he first moved to Ibrox, there were doubts about whether or not Ridvan Yilmaz could cope with the physicality of the Scottish game.

After failing to settle and problems with the language, it looked like his time in Scotland wasn’t going to make it past the six-month mark.

Instead, under Clement, he cemented his place as Rangers first choice left-back and became one of his most influential players.

There is one small problem, the 23-year old can’t stay fit.

This is the concern with bringing back Oscar Cortes and Abdallah Sima, as Clement has seen with Ridvan, once a player requires surgery on a muscle injury, they are never really fully fit.

The next absence is just around the corner.

Speaking ahead of the trip to Hampden, Clement revealed that the Turkey international has suffered a relapse of a hamstring injury that has bothered him this season:

At the end of the (Hearts) game you get two goals against with a player (Yilmaz) who comes in but hurts himself again during that moment.

“He came in my office the next day with tears in his eyes to tell me he felt something again so we will see if we can get him fit for this cup final.”

An update that left Rangers fans with one thought – it’s time to cash in.

Rangers fans right to want to cash in on Ridvan

Jefte has arrived in Glasgow and, according to reports, has passed his medical too.

Unfortunately, it isn’t the 1990s and Philippe Clement can’t throw the Brazilian defender straight into his matchday squad.

What this means though, is that Rangers have an insurance policy to cover the loss of Borna Barisic and can entertain the idea of selling Ridvan Yilmaz.

Robbie Fraser has impressed covering in recent games and it may be that the manager has decided that the academy will provide the backup options when the understudy is capable.

As one of the club’s most saleable assets, it’s hard not to agree with the fans that think the time has come for the diminutive defender to move on to pastures warmer where, maybe, his hamstring won’t feel quite so tight.
