‘He wants to play’: Pundit reckons Man City could sell ‘frustrated’ £300k-a-week player this summer

Michael Brown has claimed that Manchester City could consider selling one of their big-name players this summer.

The Manchester club have shown in recent years that they aren’t against selling some of their biggest players if suitable offers come their way.

For example, the Blues have cashed in on the likes of Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and Riyad Mahrez among others during previous transfer windows.

Now that another summer transfer window is close to opening, one pundit and former City player has been talking about one of the current stars in Pep Guardiola’s side and if the club see him as someone they’d be willing to sell this summer.

Speaking in a recent episode of The Friday Football Social on BBC Radio 5 Live Sport, Brown said this on the matter.

He said: “Jack Grealish, he will be frustrated. He wants to play, he wants to be loved, he wants to play as many minutes as he can.

“When it is going well, he is much more confident, he gets into great positions, so, if he is not playing, if he is not being used, is he someone who could be considered for a transfer? Of course, he could.”

Grealish has dropped since Treble heroics

After making 50 appearances across City’s Treble-winning season last term, the winger has only featured in 36 games this season prior to today’s FA Cup final against Manchester United.

Last month, the England international admitted that this has been a difficult season for him and that he has struggled with his form and confidence at times.

The Englishman has recently been linked with a move to Bayern Munich, who Fabrizio Romano has claimed have appointed Vincent Kompany as their new manager.

In our view, unless a significant offer comes their way for the £300k-a-week winger this summer, City should not consider selling Grealish and should instead help him get back to form.
