Kansas City Fires Employee Who Doxxed Chiefs Harrison Butker While City Proposes Formal Apology

Harrison Butker (X)

The local leftist bureaucrat who doxxed the Kansas City Chiefs star kicker Harrison Butker is the latest member of the unemployment line.

In a surprise move, Democratic Mayor Quinton Lucas told an interviewer from local media on Thursday that the unnamed employee had been axed.

In a statement issued later, Lucas’ office stated, “The employee has been separated from the City workforce for violation of City policy by posting outside the scope of authorized City communications. The City will have no further comment on the post or individual employees related to it.”

KBTX also reported that during a City Council meeting on Thursday, the city also planned to read a resolution “offering a formal apology to Harrison Butker from the City of Kansas City and recognizing that Kansas City is a welcoming city to people of all religions.”

As the Tampa Free Press reported, on May 15, as liberals’ outrage over Butker’s innocuous comments was peaking, the city’s official X account posted, “Just a reminder that Harrison Butker lives in the City of Lee’s Summit.”

The move was a familiar one by liberals in recent years: revealing personal information about conservatives in an attempt to rally a rabid mob to harass, threaten, and intimidate them.

Lucas immediately called the post inappropriate. It was deleted about a half-hour after going up. On its account, the city added, “We apologize for our previous tweet. It was shared in error.”

But it was up long enough for Missouri’s Republican Attorney General Andrew Bailey to threaten to seek accountability on Butker’s behalf under the state’s religious freedom laws.

The news of the firing came after Chiefs head coach Andy Reid and all-star quarterback Patrick Mahomes defended Butker, a Catholic, for his recent comments defending his faith and traditional values during a commencement speech at Benedictine College in Kansas.

On Friday, Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce also defended Butker.

Butker, the second-most accurate kicker in NFL history, ignited a firestorm among liberals when he suggested to women graduates at Benedictine, a Catholic college in Kansas, that they would find life most fulfilling if they embraced marriage and motherhood instead of devoting their lives solely to professional pursuits.

Butker, who is Catholic, also ripped into feminists, LGBTQ activists, pro-abortionists, and advocates of “the tyranny of diversity, equity and inclusion.” He denounced President Joe Biden, who claims to be Catholic, for his support of abortion.

Leftists have demanded that the Chiefs dump Buker, including some who want him replaced with a woman kicker, or at least shut him up.
