Report: Wolves to battle Premier League rivals for signature of £16m talent compared with Kylian Mbappe

Wolves aren’t likely to have a busy summer, but now they’ve been linked with challenging Premier League rival for the signature of a superb talent.

With financial restraints on the club, Wolves aren’t going to be incredibly active this summer unless sales are made. This sentiment was shared by Gary O’Neil as he recently explained Old Gold aren’t blessed with money, and need to sell to buy.

That being said, Wolves cannot stand completely still, with some work needed to be done, to avoid a drop down the league table next season, as rivals will definitely be improving.

Now, it’s been reported that one target will see Wolves need to battle a rival for a signing.

Wolves to rival Newcastle for Ramon Sosa

The player Wolves are keen on and look likely to target this summer is Talleres’ Paraguayan talent, Ramon Sosa, who has several interested clubs.

It’s according to Paraguayan outlet Versus that Wolves have now joined the race to sign Sosa, alongside Newcastle who remains keen.

This comes a month after the president of Talleres, Andres Fassi, admitted the winger will “surely” depart in the summer, but the asking price for this to happen is £15.7m, which should be affordable for most Premier League sides.

The report adds that Wolves are willing to get into a fight to sign Sosa this summer, although according to RDN, Newcastle would be the favourites to sign him.

But what would the arrival of Sosa mean for Wolves and where would he fit in?

How does Sosa fit in at Molineux?

With persistent rumours pointing toward the potential exit of Pedro Neto, a winger may well be on the desired list this summer for Wolves.

Sosa is a talent who has been likened to PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe, with the ‘Paraguayan Mbappe‘ being thrown his way.

This season for Tallares, he’s been better than ever with six goals and five assists in just 14 games this year in the Argentine Primera Division.

With the season the 24-year-old is having, it’s little surprise that he’s being targeted by English clubs ahead of a summer move.
