Moussa Dembele ribs Rangers in Scottish Cup message to Celtic

No doubt the celebrations of winning the Scottish Cup will continue well in this Bank Holiday weekend as the Celtic fans enjoy more success under Brendan Rodgers.

Just week on from Trophy Day, the Celtic boss continued his unblemished record in the Scottish Cup with a 1-0 win over Rangers at Hampden yesterday.

The Bhoys left it late as two second-half substitutes, Paulo Bernardo and Adam Idah, combined in the 87th minute to seal the win and send the Celtic fans wild to end the season on high.

And as the team and the manager celebrated, messages of congratulations started to flood in.

Moussa Dembele’s ‘well deserved’ message to Celtic

And one of the most iconic names of Celtic’s most recent past, Moussa Dembele, sent the Bhoys a late-night message after quote-tweeting the club’s announcement of the Scottish Cup win on X.

Dembele was a tremendous player for Celtic in Brendan Rodgers’ first spell at the club.

A cross-border signing from Fulham, the big Frenchman joined Celtic as a fresh-faced 19-year-old but went on to have an incredible two years at the club.

Leaving in 2018, Dembele was an Invincible Celt leaving with two league titles, two League Cups and a Scottish Cup to his name.

And as the dust settles on this double win, the Celtic fans can now look forward to a summer where they will expect Brendan Rodgers to make some big-money signings.

With the Champions League group stages awaiting Celtic, strengthening the team is a must if Rodgers wants to improve Celtic’s fortunes on the continent.
