'A lot of conversations': Arne Slot already planning to address big Liverpool conundrum - journalist

Liverpool’s incoming new manager Arne Slot is already putting plans in place to tackle certain issues when arrives.

Slot knows the brief and will be keen to make a big impression right from the get-go as he looks to replace Jurgen Klopp the best way he can.

Key for Slot will be getting the buy-in from the top players in his squad. The likes of Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold will be key in that transition.

However, it’s also important that Slot addresses the wealth of young talent at his disposal at Liverpool.

And according to journalist Ben Jacobs, sorting out what’s next for a number of those young players is said to be high on Slot’s to-do list.

Arne Slot wants plan in place for Liverpool youngsters

Speaking to GiveMeSport, Jacobs has said there’s a plan in place for Liverpool’s youngsters when it comes to Slot.

“Liverpool were a bit thin when they relied on youth and when their young players got highly praised in the League Cup final win over Chelsea,” Jacobs said.

“Slot will want to understand which of them are ready to be important players and can improve further over the course of pre-season and next season.

“Also, which of them it’s maybe a bit too early for. I’m told he’s going to be having a lot of conversations around pathways and internal pathways for players Liverpool have already got.

“Where he’s familiar with the senior squad, he is less familiar with Liverpool’s other younger players that may be quite useful to him in the next season or two.”

Liverpool youngsters could save millions

We all know Arne Slot will want to make some new signings this summer but there’s a few young players around right now who could save the new gaffer millions.

Last season we saw how Conor Bradley established himself in the first-team and next season there’s a few more who could do the same.

Jayden Danns is an exciting prospect up top and has already scored at Anfield, while in midfield, the likes of Bobby Clark and Lewis Koumas will be hoping to build on their progress.

Of course, experience is always something managers want in their squads.

But with an abundance of that experience already at Anfield, Slot could well make use of the young players brought on by Klopp.
