Report: French giants now want to sign £17.1m-rated Chelsea player this summer

It has just emerged, that French giants now want to sign a £17.1m Chelsea player this summer transfer window, according to a recent report.

Chelsea have decided to part ways with Mauricio Pochettino and their primary focus is now on finding a replacement as soon as possible.

Roberto De Zerbi and Enzo Maresca have been heavily linked with the vacancy in recent days and it appears it may be one of those two.

As that process unfolds, transfer business behind the scenes is now gearing up ahead of the fast-approaching window.

That said, one Chelsea player could be departing for France.

Monaco want to sign Armando Broja

Chelsea striker Armando Broja, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Fulham, is attracting interest from French giants Monaco, as per L’Equipe.

The Ligue 1 outfit finished runners-up to Paris Saint-Germain last term and qualified for the illustrious Champions League.

That could be a deciding factor for Broja, who is expected to depart Stamford Bridge this summer with a £17.1m price tag mooted.

The 19-cap Albania international netted just twice for The Cottagers and as such, his value has significantly diminished.

Chelsea expected to trade

Chelsea are once again expected to trade this summer transfer window as they look to stay in line with Financial Fair Play regulations.

Broja could be the first player out the door but he won’t be the last, as Boehly and his chiefs will likely have another clearout.

Conor Gallagher has been long mooted with a departure, as his sale would represent pure profit because he’s homegrown.

Perhaps we’ll see a number of academy graduates leaving the club.
