'Need to move on': Pundit says £300,000-a-week player should actually consider leaving Man City

Tony Cascarino has claimed that one player should consider leaving Manchester City.

At Manchester City, only a select few players can expect regular playing time.

Even in their cases, unless they are in top form, Pep Guardiola seemingly has no qualms about replacing them.

Tony Cascarino says one player should consider Man City exit

Jack Grealish, who was on the bench for Manchester City in the FA Cup final against Manchester United has been a rotation player this season — starting fewer Premier League games (10) than Kevin De Bruyne this campaign (15).

Considering De Bruyne’s hamstring injury kept him out for far longer than Grealish, their respective starts in the league indicate how less the latter has played.

As per Tony Cascarino, it is time Jack Grealish considers leaving Manchester City.

On talkSPORT, he said: “How would you feel on a Monday morning and you think, what’s the prospects of me being in the first 11 next season? And the answer for Jack [Grealish] is, probably was and what he is this season. He’ll probably be on the bench more often than not.”

“And I think he’s got to make a call on that and go to Pep Guardiola and say, I want to play football, boss. I want to play regular [football]. I want to be in the first-team. I want to be one of the first names on the team sheet.”

“And if I can’t get that here, I need to move on. That’s how I see it now. He’s achieved a hell of a lot.”

Michael Brown recently claimed that City could consider selling the 28-year-old in the summer.

Considering Jack Grealish is one of England’s most high-profile players, it is not a surprise that pundits like Tony Cascarino are discussing his future at Manchester City.

Jack Grealish should not listen to such advice

In our view, unless Manchester City decide to let Jack Grealish go, he should stray away from the advice Tony Cascarino has given.

The doom and gloom surrounding the £300,000-a-week man might not even be a topic of conversation once he reclaims his place in the team.

At one point this season, it seemed like Grealish had become a starter for Guardiola once again.

Next season, the same could be the case.

As a result, Jack Grealish should keep his sights set on becoming a starter at Manchester City again and if he manages to, Tony Cascarino would also likely advice him to stay at the club.

Once he does, Grealish will become a mainstay once again in one of the best teams in the world.
