'Always wanted': 18-goal forward says he'd love to play for Ange Postecoglou's Tottenham next season

Tottenham’s summer is going to be a busy one in terms of incomings and outgoings and one young forward has admitted he’d love to be part of the plans next season.

Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou is looking to overhaul the squad once again and he’ll be looking to make new signings as well as moving certain players on.

For Postecoglou, that change in the squad is a must-do and he admitted as much in the final weeks of the season.

However, closer to home, Postecoglou might not need to look too far for support in attack.

Indeed, one 22-year-old forward already on Tottenham’s books has said he’d love to be a part of the squad for next season under Big Ange.

Troy Parrott makes admission over Tottenham future after 18 goals at Excelsior

Speaking toVoetbal Primeur, Parrott has admitted that he still wants to play for Tottenham but is unsure where his future lies.

“I don’t know exactly what will happen. I still have two matches here and then perhaps international matches, but I am looking forward to next season,” Parrott said.

“I’ve always wanted that, ever since I came to the UK as a boy.”

Troy Parrott might have earned his chance at Spurs

We all saw how Harry Kane was a late bloomer of sorts at Tottenham and he has gone on to become one of the best strikers around.

For Troy Parrott, it feels like he’s at the stage where he either gets his chance with Tottenham or needs to move elsewhere permanently.

Parrott has done really well with Excelsior and is not far off the 20-goal mark this season.

We saw this season how Tottenham perhaps lacked another number nine and with the future of Richarlison still up for debate, there might be an opening for Parrott here.

Certainly, if he comes back and shows Postecoglou the right sort of attitude, there’s every chance he gets his opportunity.
