Report: Tottenham told they will have to pay £34m to sign midfielder Fabio Paratici absolutely loves

Tottenham Hotspur have now been told how much they will need to pay in order to sign a midfielder who could be key to Ange Postecoglou’s future plans.

Spurs are one of several Premier League clubs expected to conduct something of a squad overhaul this summer, hoping to back Ange Postecoglou’s ambition.

Although Tottenham made good progress in the transfer market last season, this still isn’t quite a squad in their new manager’s image.

The decision not to replace Harry Kane with a like-for-like superstar last summer was initially a good decision, allowing the likes of Son Heung-min and Richarlison to step into bigger roles.

But with the season now concluded, and bigger aspirations for next, a new striker is needed, with Brentford’s Ivan Toney looking like a smart and attainable option.

That being said, Spurs aren’t just in the market for a forward and will also be hoping to add a midfielder to Postecoglou’s squad as well.

And to that end, Atalanta’s Brazilian middle man Ederson, who shone in the recent Europa League final, has been linked with a north London move.

Tottenham told Ederson will cost at least £34m amid competition from Juventus

Ederson enjoyed an excellent season in the Serie A and is a player that Fabio Paractici has recently recommended to Tottenham.

And amid that interest, Italian outlet TuttoJuve has now declared how much Ederson will cost any potential suitors.

The report states that all of Tottenham, Newcastle and Juventus are interested, and will cost at least £34m.

Perhaps that could be considered something of a bargain for 24-year-old Ederson who is an incredibly well-rounded player.

Tottenham would reportedly be willing to sell Yves Bissouma in the right circumstances this summer, and perhaps the Brazilian would make a stellar replacement.

And given that Ederson is primarily described as a defensive midfielder and has still scored six goals in the Serie A this season, it says a lot about his ability.

Tottenham could certainly do a lot worse, and with the club in a healthy financial position right now thanks to good work by Daniel Levy, they seem well placed to trump the likes of Newcastle.

All that being said, Tottenham would still be well-advised to make a very clever free agent signing to ignite their summer plans.
