Two Liverpool youngsters have just won silverware over the weekend, the future looks bright

Liverpool may have just finished another season, but many of their players will now turn to international duty at Euro 2024.

The likes of senior stars Virgil van Dijk, Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold among others are expected to line out for their respective nations in Germany.

They may have wanted a break after another tough season across the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League.

But now they will all be seeking glory in the major European tournament that will run from mid-June to mid-July.

Two players have, however, already been involved in international competition, with youngsters Amara Nallo and Trey Nyoni taking part in the inaugural U18 Tri Nations Trophy.

Liverpool youngsters help clinch silverware for England Under-18s

As per the official Liverpool website, it was a successful tournament for the Anfield pair, who helped England U18s lift the trophy.

The academy duo both played as the Young Lions beat Morocco 2-1 at St George’s Park on Sunday, having been 1-0 down.

Nallo started and played 69 minutes, with Nyoni appearing from the bench for the last 20. Both were also involved in the 4-2 win over Northern Ireland earlier in the week, with the former playing 35 minutes and the latter playing 90.

Amara Nallo and Trey Nyoni heading for the top?

Centre-back Nallo joined the Reds from West Ham last August, having come through the youth academy at the East London club.

He has quickly turned into a Liverpool Under-21 regular, and while the 17-year-old is yet to make his first team debut, it seemingly isn’t too far away.

The defender was an unused substitute for the FA Cup clash with Southampton in February, and for the league meeting with Manchester City in March, and has earned rave reviews during his brief career so far.

Despite being a year younger than Nallo, Nyoni has tasted senior action, with the former Leicester City man appearing in that meeting with Southampton.

At 16 years and 243 days, the versatile midfielder became the club’s youngest ever player to appear in the FA Cup, with Jurgen Klopp very impressed by what he saw.
