A foodbank is set to host a cake sale to fund a day out for its clients.
Rodelle Brooks, a volunteer at Wisbech Foodbank, has decided to fundraise to help those who use it enjoy a fun trip without any worries or stress.
Taking place on the Wisbech Market Place this Friday, there will be homemade brownies, cookies, fairy cakes, tray bakes and much more donated by the town’s bakers from 10.30am until 12.30pm.
“I am very pleased to say that our new local mayor has accepted an invitation to meet us on the day,” Rodelle said.
“We are very honoured to welcome the mayor to our first fundraising event.”
The volunteer hopes to host more events in the future but for now is inviting anyone to come along to buy some cakes.
