Coveted Arsenal youngster who’s ‘like Harry Kane’ now wanted by Championship side on loan

A coveted Arsenal youngster compared to Harry Kane is reportedly wanted by a Championship side on loan this summer.

The Gunners are set for another transformative transfer window in the coming months with a big emphasis this year being put on departures given the number of players who could do with leaving Arsenal.

From senior players like Thomas Partey to academy prospects like Charlie Patino, Arsenal could recoup a decent amount from sales this summer if the right deals can be made with the right clubs in the summer market.

And one youngster is now already being courted by a second-tier English side.

Arsenal talent Mika Biereth wanted by Sheffield Wednesday on loan

According to the Sheffield Star, Sheffield Wednesday are interested in signing 21-year-old Arsenal youngster Mika Biereth on loan, with the Danish youth international coming off a fantastic season.

The former Fulham wonderkid had two successful loan spells at both Motherwell and Sturm Graz, with Biereth hitting 15 goals in all competitions and winning the Austrian Bundesliga earlier this month, ending RB Salzburg’s reign of dominance in the country.

With Biereth reportedly set to leave Arsenal on a permanent deal this summer, a loan move to a Championship side that just about stayed up this season would be considered by many as a backward step for the youngster.

Moreover, with Biereth showing this season that he is good enough to play for a top-flight side and in Europe, a move to the English second-tier could come across as unappealing for the striker, who has been likened to England captain Kane.

Biereth has to push for European move this summer

Whilst Sheffield Wednesday are one of the biggest clubs in the Championship with a passionate fanbase, there’s no beating around the bush that Biereth is simply too good for the Owls and the English second-tier as a whole.

The Danish youngster is coming off a historic season where he inspired Sturm Graz to the Austrian title whilst scoring in the UEFA Europa Conference League, signs that Biereth is ready for the next step in his career.

And that step simply won’t come at Sheffield Wednesday or the Championship, with Biereth more than ready to join an ambitious European side where he can be the main man away from Arsenal.
