Amazon Fresh is joining its competitors, Target and Walmart, in cutting prices on grocery staples to attract customers looking for deals.

The primarily online grocery delivery service, which also operates a few brick-and-mortar locations, said its U.S. shoppers will be able to get discounts up to 30% on 4,000 grocery items in-store and online.

The slashed prices on groceries will rotate on a weekly basis. Some of the products that will be part of the price reductions include meat, seafood, beverages, snacks, pasta, frozen food, dairy and cheese products.

The items eligible for reduction will be household name brands and Amazon-labeled products.

But Amazon Fresh was not the first store to offer reduced prices on household staples.

Last week, Target announced it would be slashing prices on 5,000 everyday items this summer. Walmart conducted a similar move, announcing it would cut back on prices for 7,000 items in its stores to promote deflation in a market where inflation is common.
