Nearly 20 fire crews called to Newton Road, Sudbury, to tackle large blaze in derelict factory

Nearly 20 fire crews are fighting a blaze at a derelict factory in Sudbury.

The fire service was alerted to the incident in Newton Road, Sudbury, at around 5.10pm.

The blaze is in a 100 metre by 100 metre building, with around 20 per cent of it alight.

Police have implemented a road closure in the area.

Sixteen crews are currently in attendance from Sudbury, Long Melford, Clare, Hadleigh, Haverhill, Bury St Edmunds, Ixworth, Colchester, Halstead and Woodbridge.
