The Horns are the 3 seed in the College Station regional, where the Aggies are the prohibitive favorite to advance to Omaha. The Horns open with Louisiana – an opponent they defeated last year in a Coral Gables regional that they went on to win – but the Horns certainly have a tough row to hoe in order to get out of Aggieland with the regional crown.

Playing spoiler on the Aggies in College Station and turning their hopes of Omaha into Oma-naw would be particularly sweet, but the Horns will have to demonstrate a level of pitching and overall play that they’ve not shown to date in order to do it.
