Reo Hatate's sends class message to the Celtic support on Instagram

Celtic midfielder Reo Hatate has recovered from some difficult circumstances this season to help his side deliver a double.

Despite suffering from injury issues involving his calf and hamstring, the 26-year-old returned in late March and was a vital cog in Brendan Rodgers’ Scottish Premiership title-winning outfit.

Overall, Hatate made 21 appearances across all competitions for Celtic, registering three goals and five assists [Transfermarkt].

He also played 78 minutes of the Hoops’ Scottish Cup triumph over Rangers on Saturday before Paulo Bernardo came off the bench to play an influential role in Adam Idah’s late winner.

Last week, he was called into Japan’s squad for their upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifying double-header against Myanmar and Syria, giving an indication of his early summer plans.

Nevertheless, he has now taken to social media, delivering a class message to the Celtic support following another productive campaign at the club.

Sounding his appreciation for the Celtic support, Hatate took to Instagram earlier today, posting a selection of pictures from the celebrations with his teammates last Saturday.

Accompanying the photos, he led with the caption: ‘Thank you for amazing support during the season!
Although it was a difficult season for me, I’m so happy to win the titles. All is well that ends well.’

Undoubtedly, Hatate will have endured frustrating times this season, spending time on the sidelines where his presence was desperately missed on the field.

Regardless, the former Kawasaki Frontale man returned to play a key role in the Bhoys’ title challenge, lighting up Parkhead with his displays in the engine room.

Looking towards the summer transfer window, Celtic should be doing everything they can to retain Hatate ahead of next season.
