Report: Club need to sell £20m star man to West Ham before June 30th to avoid financial sanctions

New West Ham United manager Julen Lopetegui has a clear run at signing one of his key transfer targets this summer.

Julen Lopetegui officially took charge of West Ham last week, and one of his top two priorities this summer is to sign a proven centre-forward.

Michail Antonio has been a fine servant for the Hammers, but Lopetegui has to sign an upgrade on the Jamaica international before the start of the new season.

Despite the fact that Lopetegui is a fan of Antonio and plans for him to stay at the London Stadium, the Spaniard is keen to bring in a top-class striker.

A proven centre-forward playing in between Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus really would take us to a whole new level in an attacking sense.

And the door appears to be wide open for Lopetegui to bring in the absolute perfect striker for West Ham in the summer transfer window…

Youssef En-Nesyri could be West Ham bound

The 26-year-old centre-forward has been on the Hammers radar for quite some time now, dating all the way back to January 2021.

On paper, En-Nesyri is absolutely perfect for West Ham, and now it seems like it will only be a matter of time before he heads to the London Stadium.

Vamos Mi Sevilla, Sevilla are desperately trying to shift En-Nesyri before June 30th in order to raise funds to avoid financial sanctions.

They will sell him for anywhere between £17-20 million – a real bargain to be had in this day and age.

He is hard working, runs the channels, is exceptional in the air and possesses impressive technical ability.

En-Nesyri has bagged 72 goals in 193 appearances for Sevilla (Transfermarkt) – better than a goal every three games.

He has an impressive 112 goals for club and country to his name – a very decent return considering that he’s only 26.

For just £17-20 million, signing Youssef En-Nesyri this summer should be a no-brainer for West Ham. Let’s hope that Lopetegui, Steidten and co get this one wrapped up as soon as possible.
