Matty Cash has shared whether he believes Manchester United actually had a better season than Arsenal after Erik ten Hag’s side managed to clinch the FA Cup.
Manchester United stunned many by beating Manchester City at Wembley on Saturday, with Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo scoring for the now 13-time winners.
Of course, it was a high point in what has been a very tough campaign at Old Trafford, with speculation persisting over ten Hag’s future with the club.
Manchester United registered their lowest ever Premier League finish this past season. Rio Ferdinand is one of those who does not expect ten Hag to still be in charge next year.

While there is uncertainty at Old Trafford, there seems to be focus at Arsenal after they came agonisingly close to winning the Premier League title.
Obviously, there is no question of which side had a better league campaign, but with United winning a trophy, some may be tempted to suggest that they actually had the better year.
But speaking on talkSPORT (broadcast on 28/5; 16:12), Matty Cash believes that Arsenal have been much more impressive.
“Obviously winning the FA Cup, fair play, they have done well to win the FA Cup, credit to them, but I think in terms of, Arsenal, like, they have kept that consistency,” he said.
“I know they haven’t won anything, but the consistency they have shown and the level they have shown in the season, even last season, I just think that’s incredible to keep that consistency.”

It appears to be easier to win an FA Cup than the Premier League, and a team’s top-flight performance provides a better indication of where a side really is.
Arsenal are in a better place to win a number of trophies than Manchester United right now, and their fans will certainly be a lot more optimistic heading into the new campaign.
Interestingly, it would appear that Manchester United may not make a change in the dug-out after all – amid claims that ten Hag would be sacked whatever happened in the FA Cup final.
Managerial candidates are reportedly being told Manchester United may now stick with ten Hag.
The Dutchman has a massive point to prove should he remain in charge next year, and the Manchester United hierarchy will surely need to see that gap to the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City start to close.
