'Just saying' – Jadon Sancho sent four-word message to former Man Utd target who he 'helped' a 'lot' ahead of Champions League final

Jadon Sancho has sent a message to one former Manchester United target ahead of Borussia Dortmund’s Champions League encounter with Real Madrid in the final.

The 24-year-old Manchester United misfit returned to Germany in January after Borussia Dortmund agreed a six-month loan deal with the Red Devils.

Jadon Sancho was frozen out of the United first team in 2023 after the Borussia Dortmund player fell out with manager Erik ten Hag.

Erik ten Hag had revealed why Sancho was not in his matchday squad for the Arsenal match last September and the United winger took exception to the matter.

Sancho took to social media and dropped a bombshell statement, with the United player subsequently forced to train away from the first team.

Dortmund handed the England international a lifeline after securing his return to the Bundesliga, with Sancho impressing at times during his loan spell.

Sancho has made 20 appearances for Dortmund in the 2023-24 season and has scored two times and registered three assists for the club.

Sancho’s relationship with former Man Utd target

Borussia Dortmund punched their ticket to the Champions League final after securing two 1-0 wins over Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals.

However, the German club face an uphill battle in lifting the Champions League trophy, with Dortmund set to compete against Real Madrid on Saturday.

Real Madrid secured their place at Wembley on 1st June after they knocked Bayern Munich out of the Champions League in the semi-finals.

Jadon Sancho has impressed during the Champions League campaign with Dortmund, including his performance against PSG in the first-leg semi-final tie.

Jude Bellingham, who was heavily linked with Manchester United in the past, has opened up about his relationship with Sancho ahead of the final.

The 20-year-old England midfielder has thrived in his first season at Madrid after his blockbuster transfer from Dortmund last summer for an initial £88.5m fee.

The former Dortmund star made his presence immediately felt in the Spanish capital and Bellingham has scored an impressive 23 times in 41 appearances.

Bellingham, who also has 12 assists to his name, has become a pivotal first-team player under Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti in the 2023-24 season.

The England star played alongside Sancho at Dortmund and revealed that his former club teammate had sent him a message before the Champions League final.

Sancho sends message to Bellingham

When asked if he had spoken to any Dortmund players ahead of the final, Bellingham told Madrid’s media channel: “Not been speaking with any of them this week.

“When we first went through, I got a little message from Jadon. So, I spoke with Sancho.

“Just saying, ‘I’ll see you there,’ and all those kinds of things.

“Jadon’s always been someone who’s taken me under his wing when I first arrived at Dortmund. He’s a really good guy. He’s helped me a lot.”
